Well it's 2:15 a.m., so I'm going to go with it being Saturday morning. That's means, if I've calculated correctly, that I've been out of school and on break for an entire week! What. The. Hell. It feels like it's been a month. Could being at home possibly be this bad? I won't lie, I dreaded coming home for break for a number of reasons, all of which I was relatively right about, but GOLLY. If this is how the rest of winter break is going to be, remind me to rent an apartment for summer break.
I sound absolutely horrible. Being at home hasn't been all bad, maybe it's just me. Maybe I have resorted to be a 'sinner.' According to my sister, that's what college has turned me into, a sinner. Whatever, that pretty much goes in one ear and out the other. What bugs me is how everyone has this notion that I do nothing but sleep all day and drink all night while I'm school (well maybe not everyone). I honestly believe that they--my family--don't quite understand just how busy I am on campus. On a daily basis, I'm getting to bed around 3 or 4 AM. That's on a good day. Half of the time, I don't sleep. In my opinion, I feel like when I come home it's time to relax. To do nothing. To (finally) get some sleep. Not in this household. Instead I get daily lectures about how lazy I am. And threatening of being kicked out because I'm just so damn lazy. No worries with that, it's just annoying to have to listen to it. I have yet to figure out how to tune it out.
On a happier note, it finally snowed. YAY!!!! I've been waiting for the snowfall. Now it's really starting to feel like Christmas. Of course come January--I'm sure I'll be absolutely sick of the snow. On the way out of a crowded mall, with a headache, and a fussing grandma; seeing the snow definitely made my day. I know... I sound like a whining pest. Eh, I sound like a spoiled brat. Maybe I just need to suck it up, put on a fake smile and push through. I started having flashbacks of the last days of summer, right before I moved back into my dorm, just in time for band camp. If that wasn't relief, I don't know what is. I feel like it'll be the same story here. Almost like Deja Vu. Not nearly as bad how it was this summer, because three months was an absolute hell. Eh, I sound like a spoiled brat.
