Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same, you wanna go where everybody knows your name.

Oh, Mountain... (Part I)

Today is Wednesday. Meaning, if I've done my math correctly, that I've been back in Indiana for 3 days! Yes, you read that right. In clarity, I went on my little Colorado Adventure (soon to return) and  although it may not have been the most well researched or ideal trip ever, I had a great time and I don't regret making it. Despite the fact that it all became sour at the 11th hour of the trip, and to this day--three days later--I continue to get received the third degree from my family members regarding the specifics of this trip and I continue to lie. No, I don't intend on telling anyone the WHOLE truth, in times like these I think it's easier to lie.

I landed in Colorado on this past Thursday night and after a full day of traveling, I was absolutely exhausted but so began the race to the finish to find my hotel at lease for that night. Contrary to familial   belief, I booked my own hotel. However, little did I know the hotel I book was slightly far fetched  from where I actually was meant to be for the weekend. After talking to a Colorado native, I realized that. So with the help of a friend (the assumed friend I was going to visit) I made my way to the hotel for that night. That next morning I woke up and began research on different hotels near the place I was supposed to be as well as a nice, inexpensive way to get there. Destination: Vail. I had to be creative.

After 2 buses and a greyhound, I reached Vail and my oh my, it was a sight to see. I just kept saying to myself, "I can't believe I actually did it!" Quite honestly, I still can't believe it. Vail was a vintage little town--Central Vail that is. However, getting to Vail was only half the battle, now I had to find a nice, cheap hotel in this expensive city and prepare for the concert that night, which wouldn't be too hard of a task because I had called about a certain hotel at my previous hotel (what a tongue twister). If there was ever a time I felt proud of myself for having been smart, that day was definitely top 5.

After getting settled in, I was much excited for the concert that night. I was looking forward to hearing a famous cello soloist but more importantly, I was anxious to see if "He" would be there. Well the cellist was amazing and He was--I caught a glimpse of him right before the intermission. After the concert, I made an effort to stick around in hopes of accidentally running into "Him" Well it happened but not exactly the way I planned or hoped rather. To be completely honest, I had no clue that I was going to see him when I actually did. Here I am having this intriguing conversation with this amazing cellist, and a car pulls up to chauffeur him back to hotel. Little did I know, "He" was the driver. He had to have seen me before I saw him and I can't help but wonder what he must have thought when he saw me. HE. LOOKED. GOOD.

All of a sudden, the reason--the REAL reason--why I came all the way to Colorado was literally starring me in the face. Yet I didn't get the answer I needed. My first question has been answer and that was that there was still attraction. Even after a year of silence there was still a spark--at lease from my point of view. I was never able to read him and I still couldn't. For all I know he could have been masking his true feelings or it was all out on the table. I had no idea, but I was soon about to find out.
