The first song, YOU BELONG TO ME...
See the pyramids along the nile, watch the sunrise on a tropic isle, just remember darling all the while, you belong to me.
Just hearing these words my mind naturally shifts to a certain person I havent been able to tak my mind off of over the past couple of months. I could never expect to be more than friends with this person for a number of reasons, however. Call me hopeful, but it gave me the thought of our friendship last forever. Despite my sister annoying antics in the background, I was content--if only for a moment.
The next song, STAND BY ME...
When the night has come, and the land is dark, and the moon is the only light we see. I wont be afriad, just along as you stand by me.
Just hearing the intro music to this song completely shifted my thoughts to my mom. This is probably one of her favorite songs, if not her favorite. I remembered her singing it in the middle of the night when I'd get scared of whatever. Ben E. King was great but he held no candle to her. lyrics surrounded my thoughts, and my eyes began to swell with tears, but never actually dropping onto my face. I was in the midst of a mixture of two strong emotions. Happiness and sadness.
More songs played, leaving me with more memories. Some good, some bad:
I'LL BE SEEING YOU...
I'll be seeing you in every lovely summer's day; In every thing that's light and gay. I'll always think of you that way. I'll find you in the morning sun and when the night is new. I'll be looking at the moon, But I'll be seeing you
TEARS ON MY PILLOW...
You dont remember me, but I remember you. It was not so long ago you broke my heart in two, tears on my pillow, pain in my heart, caused by you
DREAM LOVER...
Every night, I hope and pray a dream lover will come my way. A girl to hold in my arms and know the magic of her charms. Because I want a girl to call my own. I want a dream lover so I don't have to dream alone
...And many more. What can I see I can connect with the music. Sometimes even more than I can with classical music.
