Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same, you wanna go where everybody knows your name.

Little Foxes

I've heard this saying at church so much, it started going from from my left ear to my corresponding right. This summer, in particular, has just been filled with understanding and God slowing revealing more to me with each passing day. Suddening, scriptures that I read millions of times and saying that I've heard billions of times make more sense in my daily living then ever before. Growing up, I've always heard said by my grandma and aunts and pastor that one bad apple spoils the bunch. The saints of the most high are more than likely NOT going to commit the 'big ten' (aka the Ten Commandments) but its the little foxes that spoil the vine. (Song of Solomon 2:15)

This pass weekend, I heard I dynamic word from heaven at the ABSA Council in Fort Wayne. From thursday moring saturday night to even sunday morning at my home church, every message, testimony, seminar, song, everything that I heard tied into the one before. We the saints of God truely are a called and set apart people. Sanctified. The bible says in Ephesians 6: 12; "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities." I'm reminded of a song, 'There's A War Going On' by the great Walter Hawkins (A personal favorite of mine). The song simply says there is a constant battle between the flesh and the spirit. The spirit wants to live right, saved, and holy; but this flesh, these foxes are what spoil everything. Which was why we need be in constant correction. Which is why this flesh has to die. Because, as Evangelist Langham said, "Dead men can't talk and dead men cant' think."(Colossians 3:5)

I attended a seminar on saturday led by Elder Allen Arila. His topic was, "Running the Race, Fit and focused. He shared a testimony with how the Lord, delivered him from fighting. Though it was for sport, not violence he put it before God, which made it a sin. (Exodus 3:20) Main point that he focused on was being spiritually fit. Having a prayer life, fasting without being told to do so, reading your bible on a daily basis. Fasting, in particular, was brought out to me. Being that fasting alone does not move God to do anything. Instead it brings, your flesh under subjection so that you can hear God clearly. God cannot speak through the 'noise' in our spirit and he wont speak through it. As said by Elder Royce, "When we learn to walk in alignment with our spiritual destiny, only then will we have power with God."

I suppose in reality I dont have much to say. Or maybe I do, but I'm cutting myself off because I could go on and on. I praise God for my understanding in his plan and his purpose for me. In the words of Evangelist Hughley, "He's a BAD God." My mind revolts back to the song, The Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus' name
On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
Like I always I'm just talking about what's on the mind and what's been ringing in my spirit since the council. Nothing special, of course. Just me; just Jessica. With Blessings and Love.
